We went, we saw, we....well placed 312 out of 716
Not to bad for a bunch of folks that play for fun....

Good Job! That is a tough tournament. Seems since they moved it to summer tho the attendance has dropped off some. Too darn hot to go outdoors. And a week stuck in a Casino is bad news for me. I play BCA here in Oregon. We have our big tournament before Vegas at this big Casino on the beach in Lincoln city. 120 pool tables and it goes for a whole week. I never do well in the singles for some reason. It just does not mean that much to me. But I did win with my two team mates the Western BCA three man Nine Ball team event a few years ago. Something like 120 teams from the Northwest and Canada. And the VENA 8 ball before that. We got third in 8 ball three years ago. Did you play singles and Scotch?

LOL.... well... about $1,400 stayed in vegas.... but not really tho...it followed me to my bank in florida and now I have to pay the bank back....
I did win $35 on a nickel slot though! I don't usually gamble but the wife said why not ....so I plunked $5 in and won $40, so we cashed it out and ate lunch ($34.50) so actually I only made fifty cents.
Food and drink prices are outrageous..... but we learned a few tricks while we were there, and next year when we go back (our team is ahead about 50 points already) we will have a bit of fun and see a few shows ect...

I did play in a couple of mini 9 ball side games... didn't win...but they ranked me one higher because i'm an 8 ball player.
I beat a guy 2 ranks higher than me and he complained... didn't matter though... the next guy one rank above me cleaned my clock.
Was fun though and with all the people watching, I will no longer have the apprehension while playing at home anymore. (I kinda get the nervous nilly's now and then)
