Saw my old S40 today

Saw my 2011 Orange/Black S40 at the same dealership that I traded to. Owner only put about 200 miles on it in the past 2 years. Wish I never traded it.  Angry   I ended up getting a new 2012 Suzuki C50 cheap enough that I was able to add all the OEM "Touring" accessories and still come out okay. But if I was being truthful, I probably enjoyed riding the S40 more. Except on days when we have 35mph winds.

The C50 has been great bike, riding 6,000 miles in the past year, but in the future I'll probably end up getting another S40.

I am surprised to hear that.  What is it that you don't like about your C50 as compared to the S40?

Short-term there isn't much to not like about a C50 I guess - very good bike. Probably will end up spending a lot more on scheduled maintenance and servicing for the C50. Not the easiest cruiser to work on. Don't care much for the plastic everything approach. The C50 is probably much better on the highway because of the extra weight and slightly better cruising speeds, but S40 seemed better for city riding IMO and I like the single cylinder and overall design. Miss the backfires under overpasses.

That's why I don't want to get rid of my S40. It's so easy to get around on and probably one of the easiest bikes to work on. I'm sure I'd want something bigger if I was going to do a lot of cross country but I rarely go over a couple of hundred miles.

But, a local dealer has a REAL good deal on a 2013 CB1100. I miss my old UJM from the 70's.
