Hey guys, new to the fourm and bike world. Just picked up an 87 savage and im in need of a few things and some guidance towards others. My maim concern as of now is a dang gas cap. I havent been able to find an aftermarket one or universal and i reallyyyy dont wanna buy a factory one for $80.

Any advice you guys have to give? Or maybe you have one for sale?

Look in the section called Marketplace on this forum.  People are selling off lots of bits and pieces as they build cafe racers etc.  You could put in a want to buy ad.  Also check Pinwall Cycle (they buy and part out bikes that are wrecked) on Ebay.  They list stuff and also have an Ebay store and a retail store in NE Ohio.

Do you want a,  'Keyed' Set?
The Ignition lock, Gas cap, Helmet lock, tool box lock,
all the same key.  (Key included)

Keyed, 'set'.

Check: http://tomradde.com/xt225/styled/index.html

Lock Set Ig Switch, Tank cover, Helmut lock, Tool lock, And Key, all keyed alike  $85.00  + Shipping, would fit in a 'one rate' P.M  med  box, for 12.50

5 gallons,, go all day, your butt will need to stop anyway,, step back, consider the size, on that little bike,, and then strap 40 pounds up on the bike & see how it feels, All depends on what ya want. I WILL give ya this, stopping every 100 miles for gas does get old.. It Needs a bigger tank, just not sure it needs 5 gallons.
