You don't often see restored Suzukis, but this one caught my attention. Not so much because of how well it was restored, but how similar that power plant is to our 650s'

TS400 was a 2-stroke... that's an ST400... Wink...
...(don't think it was sold in the US...Canada maybe?)...

The block and crankcase certainly bears some resemblance to ours, and as far as I'm aware the original Savage was a 400. These appear to have been sold in Japan and other parts of Asia, as well as New Zealand. Used 400 Savages come up from time to time on Trade Me, the NZ equivalent of Ebay.

The bits you can see of the front of the frame bear some similarity to ours as well.

No....The original Savage was a TS250.  The TS400 was the Apache.

I looked into it a while back and found that the frame is different from ours, I was hoping to get a gas tank from one and  slap it on......NO DICE   Undecided
