Really?  You wanna Savage so you can do wheelies? Shocked

The Savage is not really good for that kind of riding.  The clutch is not very grabby, the rubber belt doesn't make you want to dump the clutch and see what gives......and there is a lot of weight up front.

The RYCA is definitely not easier.....the weight is shifted forward and your upper body and arms are leaned out over the fuel tank.

I can honestly say......that in the nearly 3 years I have owned my Savage...the only time the front wheel is in the air is when I have it in the garage and on the lift.

I have seen one photo of a fellow that converted his Savage to "Scrambler"....and was doing a wheelie.

Yeah....and since you made me look it up on Youtube, there is one there.  Wonder how he got the dent in the front of his tank?

Look at the forks. Look at the angle of them from the frame.. You don't Really want to see that bike land on that,do you?

That was me back in February of 1998. Seals are still popped, bike was 5 minutes old and the belt had been set way too tight on assembly. With what I know now about just how poorly made the Savage really is... I'm honestly surprised the frame or triple trees didn't fail.

My 2003 got curbed by a previous owner, and the frame to fork relationship is a bit out of kilter.
