So, today I completed my first oil change, replaced a turn signal bulb, replaced exhaust gasket, and wrapped exhaust.

Why is it that it is impossible to fit a ratchet between the frame and the drain plug? That is a mod I would like to see. The last person crazy tightened and rounded the drain plug but I got it off and definitely will replace next time.

I added 2.5 quarts of the Rotella. The sight glass looks pretty full but I haven't started up the engine yet and I'm assuming the new K&N filter is still dry.

Putting the exhaust back on tomorrow and then replacing the petcock.

You really wouldn't need t modify the frame to use a ratchet on the oil drain plug.  You could use either a ratcheting wrench or obtain a shaved socket.  You could take any standard 14mm or 17mm socket (obviously depending upon which drain plug you have) and grind it down or cut it.  You only need enough length to grab most of the way onto the bolt since it really doesn't need much torque.

Me, I'm lazy.  I like to just lay down and put a good ol' wrench on it.
