So eventually I am going to go the tracker/cafe route with my bike, and I am looking into some rear axle set up options.
The easiest (well, less thought involved) choice would be to have Ryca lace up my hub to an 18" rim, which looks good.
I had been thinking some about what it would take to keep the rear tire and then saw this guy...
http://www.motohangar.com/mhJcb550s.htmlI honestly kind of like the imbalanced rim look, and obviously it works out stance-wise because the rear tires is massive.
So I did some quick calculations, and if I mounted up a 140-90-15 tire to the stock rear wheel, it would be about 2.2" shy of where the Ryca 18" wheel with a 130/70 mounted up.
Anyone know of any big fat tires that could mount up to the 15" rear rim? Another option might be even bigger rear shocks, but I have no idea what kind of implications that brings.
