Corbin is the only company that makes a bolt on seat for the Savage.

Fry has one in the Marketplace for sale - but he seems not to be answering anybody's PM or emails....he has not been logged onto this site since 8/01.
He does offer a photo if you want to see what it looks like:

Beyond that......there are several folks that have adapted other seats onto the bike.

I have the same exact seat on mine, love it.  You wont be disappointed!! Wink

I had the same problem and raising the front of the seat actually moves the pressure off the tailbone and towards the crotch.  It really does help more than you'd think for exactly this problem.

Also, I added the OEM engine guard and kuryakyn longhorn offset highway pegs that allow me to prop my feet up when I'm not stopped or shifting.  On the highway, it's like relaxing on the couch with my feet propped up.

I started to get the corbin seat, but I have found the seat mod plus highway pegs to be sufficient for riding two hours at a time, which is about all I do.

No mods needed to make a corbin seat fit. they are made for the s40/savage.  they are a little pricey but worth every cent. Get them here

Karen, I replaced my stock seat with a V Star seat, I think someone else mentioned that. All the pictures in this post are of the one piece seat, if you want to see what a solo seat looks like check out the post I did about making my own rack, I have a couple of pictures of my bike seat there.

wow thanks for posting that...  that's pretty much exactly what I need...  I've had experience forging but never welding, and tho I don't have the forge any more, hubby and friends have all I would need to practice welding with.  Wink

and the seat looks about perfect for what I want too!  now to find a bike to rob parts off of.  Grin
