K&n 52mm instead of 57

Im having some trouble finding a kn filter that fits, with the correct 57 mm in size.. If I use one with 52 mm and a reducing sleeve, would that have any negative effect on performance?

It's nothing
personal; the other
one came first.

The standard cone should fit there just fine. I used the stock intake throat and the cone shaped 57mm K&N.  It works pretty well.

Here is my setup:

I guess that means I'm no good anymore; I've got 4 more cylinders! '08 Yamaha FJR1300 and still '01 Savage

That looks pretty good hondalavis

That was my idea too, but have decided to try and fit a bigger cylindrical filter in the space Where the Airbox was sitting, with a 90 degree adaptor going up to the same original rubber tube as you used.
