The new organics (FA-06???) have lasted about 3,500-4,000 max and I may look to the sintered next time...

Sintered don't work all that well on the Savage.  It needs the soft organics for what little braking force is available.  The sintered are too hard and the force required on the brake lever is just too hard to be reasonable.

Ok, thanks Dave!!

Also,... our pads a scrawny, but so are the rotors...
A long lasting pad will wear the rotor faster...
I'd rather replace pads than rotors...
Ergo,... (ergo nuttin',.. I just wanted to say... ergo)... Undecided...

Seems to me.....you need to ride more often.

Motorcycle tires wear out pretty quickly when you ride the bike.  Some folks go on cross country tours and have to get new tires to complete the trip.

I would have not spent the $$$ on new tires if
not needed to be.
I like getting all the bang from my $$$ and I feel
I did with the old tires.
I would rather replace than have one or both blow
out while riding.
Tires can go bad from sitting as well as riding. I prefer
to replace due to riding than sitting..Smiley kim & Genie
