2,485 Mile Road Trip

It has been a while since I checked in on the site. In September 2012 I took a trip from central Kentucky to upstate New York on the S40. I repeated and expanded the trip this July on it's replacement, a 2007 C50. This is the youtube link of a short video and stills. And yes I know there are at least two rather common spelling errors in the captions. Thank you for pointing them out.

All I can say is that if you are only thinking about a road trip, just pack a bag, kick it in gear, and go.

Good hunting

Dang it, Blinky...  now I'm going to be spellchecking the captions instead of enjoying the ride...

I'll have to watch it twice... Smiley...

Blinky,
I have viewed the video of the 2012 trip a few times. Especially after I decided to buy my bike. Great video that gave me a lot of confidence to start riding. Thank you for sharing.

Great Video and editing.  I grew up very near Beaver Creek State Park.  You guys really hustled through the twisty parts.

What camera did you use?  Same camera for the movies and stills?

I'm hoping to go to next years Yankee Rally. Looks like everyone had a great time.

Really liked the video and the kids are so cute!  I especially liked the pictures of them wearing the helmet, very cute.  Hey, the bike looks great too!

Dave,
Thanks for your compliment about the twisty bits. You should see how good we were at X4, not the X2 on the video.

I used an original Go Pro Hero for the video and a Cannon point and shoot 16MP Sure Shot for the stills.

Good hunting
