Hi Everyone

I had my carb worked on a few weeks ago by a local mechanic who changed the pilot jet and did the white spacer mod. Today I was looking the bike over after a long ride and I noticed there are two rubber hoses coming off each side of the carb (thanks to the Savage CD I learned that these are both bowl vents).  It seems that these vent hoses are just draped upwards under the gas tank.  Is this where they're supposed to go, or are they supposed to feed downwards?  If it's the latter, maybe the mechanic just tucked them up there to have them out of the way.
