Grew up, not needen no blinkers,
cause coming from a small town,
everyone knew where you were going!
(I'll post a photo, when I learn how to take one from my computer, and put it on, rather from the, 'net', which I know how to do).
Anyway, A Piece of "L" Aluminum.
Drilled two holes, the distance that my windshield rods are.
Attached to one side, a little RPM gauge.
The other side, a cheep, 'lock', (for the numbers),
which I just slotted a piece of plastic,
Epoxied the lock in, then, 'stuck' to to the,
"dash' I made.
Then, a little LED, Red, light, which I ran the wires to inside of the headlight housing. and hooked them up to the front turn signals.
With a, 'Rectifier'.
So now when ether, Turn is on, (ether way),
I can see, a RED light blinking,
Without, having to 'look down',
and taking my eyes off, 'where' I am going.
(Did this on other bikes, but their was only, ONE,
'factory' blinking light. So it was a easy matter of just taping into
the one light, with the bright LED Red light.)
Using a, 'rectifier' came from the EXCELLENT Knowledge,
from this site.
http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?board=tech;action=display;num=1189100000Just read it all, and instead of using a, 'buzzer', use a light.
(And I eliminated the extra, 'Brake Light', cut off)
I always thought a rectifier, converted AC to DC.
Apparently, it Also acts as a, 'One Way', for current.
So, got a, small one, Less then 1/2 the dia of a dime.
Output, 1.5 Amp DC volts, which was plenty for a .2 LED Amp light.
Of course, you could just use 2, 'indicator' lights placed some where.
One for each side.
Just a thought for those, whose hearing is perhaps impaired,
and would rather see a light !
