Learn what happens in an earthquake in Los Angeles:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vg0fqGEA4MII am about 3 miles west of the Newport-Inglewood Fault, which some say it can put out a 7+ quake. Which is respectable, but not big enough to flatten my house. Earthquakes are quickly done, and all your stuff is still here, not like hurricanes and tornadoes that blow your stuff miles away.
But I like L.A..
About 17 years ago I had a heart attack. I called 911 and in less than three minutes I was on the gurney with a team of EMTs treating me.
About 8 years ago I left home on the Savage and the clutch cable snapped, which makes starting/stopping awkward. Circled back home, checked Internet for Suzuki Dealers. Called first dealer, no clutch cable in stock. Second dealer, no clutch cable in stock. Third dealer had one in stock, 5 miles from the house, get the cable and swap it and I am back on the road in less than an hour. I have about 20 Suzuki motorcycle dealers within 30 miles from the house.
