But Pine WHY??

So several have commented on little thread about silvers saying they just don't get the whole GLOOM and DOOM and buying metals.

This youtube vid.. explains very nicely about the fears that some have about our current economy, and how doing something.. anything makes us feel at least a little bit better about how we fit within it.  WARNING its a long dern vid!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYyugz5wcrI&src_vid=Ss-FRbBUZkY&feature=iv&an...

Note that buying metal is NOT the first thing the author suggests! ITs just a small part of a certain way to consider the current world and step one can take to better cope with a possible future.

Things I have done personally:
Zero credit card debt
Zero short term debt (no car note)
Ride a fuel efficient vehicle (MOTORCYCLE) to WORK
Bought a generator
Pay at least $100 extra per month on the house note
Bought some silver/gold/even LEAD
Stay at a job that pays for my kids college

Things I would like to do:
Cut down tree in front yard so I could use solar
install a solar hot water system
Buy land out in the country (DREAM)
See my kids finish college
Convert generator to natural gas
Install rain barrels
Cut down tree in back yard so I could have a garden

for you gloom and doom scenario, you should also have the materials to build a methane generator and convert the generator to methane.

Living within your means without debt is certainly better than buying stuff you don't need with money you don't have to impress people you don't like.

AGREED!

Though .. I have to think that most of us Savage riders gave up the notion of impressing others long ago.
