I'm new to electrical work.  I'm installing mini bullet front turn signals and when I bolt them in tight they don't work.  When they are in loose, they will short out.  Some of the metal to metal contact is producing sparks.  Any recommendations?  There isn't a lot of room between the light post and the slot to wrap the post or use a rubber insert.

I'll post a picture of the lights but yes they are two wires like the ones in the picture.  I believe they are single element.

Take the bulb out and see if it has 1 or 2 contacts on the base.If it has 1 then the black wire should be your ground.Bolt them on.Hook red wire to turn signal wire in harness and touch black to a good ground.They should work then.They might not be internally grounded through the light's body.

You might find this hard to believe.....but Suzuki uses a solid black wire for the power to the left turn signal for 2004 and later bikes.....the black wire with the white tracer is the ground.
