Reinstalling stock muffler...

Yep, I'm officially strange.  Wink

The muffler on the bike sounds fine when all the leaks are temporarily stopped. Which is next to impossible to achieve. So tired of the popping, the banging, the clattering of the muffler inlet pipe on the head pipe, the head pipe getting shaken loose.

Went to ride home from work last night, and the bracket between the muffler and the factory bracket had failed, muffler had sagged over 4 inches down and to the side.  Angry

Fun while it lasted, but, I also won't be waking up most of the county twice a day now either. Win some, lose some.

I hear ya about the leaking, countless time I've taken mine apart, this time I found a slight bent pipe at a muffler shop to make a tight joint. A few clamps finally got it with almost no leak. For now... Until it rust again. So far I've been replacing the muffler on this thing every other year so it's a matter of time before I play this game again.

I get enough bam! with the stock muffler. I think I'll just leave it on.

Warning: if you listen to Mr. Willie, you can't get it out of your head.  Cheesy
