Inner tube size?
06/20/14 at 08:03:42
Hi I am in the process of ordering some tires/inner tubes for the 99 savage (in canada) The stock rear tire is very hard to find so I am getting the Shinko 712 140/90-15 and stock size front tire. I found the rim strips which simply went by the rim size
But i am not sure how the sizing works on the inner tubes? could someone tell me the correct type of tubes to get i will be ordering from this site
http://www.canadasmotorcycle.ca/
and i cant really find 140/90-15 tubes

I recently bought an IRC inner tube for my 140/90-15 rear tire and it is sized in the same manner as the tire, no sizing chart required. I think Bikemaster also sells the rear inner tube in actual tire sizes. Both are reasonably priced brands that have worked well for me.
If you google something like "motorcycle inner tube sizing chart" you will find some charts. Not all sizing charts are a good fit for every brand. So find a sizing chart for the brand you have settled on.

From that site:
http://www.canadasmotorcycle.ca/bridgestone-tr-87c-tire-tube.html
Shows a 140/90-15.
And get the tube with the bend in the valve. Makes it a LOT easier to check pressure and add air.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut between the seat and the handlebars. Make sure yours isn't too tight or too loose.
