Jes' kidding,..
Mine's got 33k and runs better than new... (4 sets of tires, 4 batteries, new camchain adjuster, new stator, rebuilt steering bearings, on it's 3rd muffler)...

Take care of it,.. and it will go 100k, or as long as you want, as long you you keep fixin' what breaks...

Ludicrous Speed !... ... Huh

If you do normal maintenance - which includes replacing cam chains when needed, and you consider maintenance part of ownership.....100,000 miles is possible on the piston,cylinder, valves, head and crank. You will have to replace timing chains and clutches.

53,200 miles... and so far not one mechanical repair needed. No leaks, runs quiet still, and hope to get 75 to 100,000 before engine rebuild.
Somehow I'm still on my second cam chain. Didn't even know what one was until 33,000 and altho I'm getting ready to do the Versy mod just to be safe, the engine is still quiet and strong with no oil leaks at 53,000. Great idea he came up with because more of our bikes will be high mileage now. I was going to trade it in on a new one but this one has taken me across 15 states and back and always got me home. Still seems it has lots of miles left on it.

I agree! I am the least mechanical person you'd ever meet and everyone here has explained to me how to do things, etc. A bunch a good people on here.

I've done basics like changing my oil, front brakes, handlebar adjustments, etcs but once I run into a problem or question, someone on here has an answer to help.

My dad manages a suzuki and yamaha dealership and has taught me a lot about bikes. I actually plan on working there soon. Thanks for that answers guys!!
