If so, any thoughts or recommendations?

I have a Vista Cruise throttle lock on a C50. I use it every now and then to spell the right wrist. I rarely use it for more than a minute or so. If you use one, take your time and make sure you have the adjustment set so you can twist the throttle closed without trying to flip the locking lever off.

I have a Crampbuster.  It is not a lock - but it allows you to use the heel of your hand to apply the throttle pressure.  It takes a lot of the pressure off your hand, and makes long distances much less tiring.

And they are really cheap, and available at most bikes shops.

I have a GoCruise but quit using it. It would twist and contort because it isn't a continuous piece of plastic. Then it would move sideways on my throttle. Plus, it stretched and didn't hold any longer. I needed to use a thicker rubber band than they gave. It just became too much trouble. Now I use the  Kuryakyn Wide Universal Throttle Boss and it works well. It just isn't a lock. But, I can relax my grip and lay my hands over the lever to relax a bit.

Crampbuster comes highly recommended on many forums/sites.
I've been thinking of one cuz my wrist feels more uncomfortable on this bike than previous.
What size does the S40 take?  Standard or oversize?
Our bars are 1" right?  The Crampbuster goes on the grip, though.

I don't like any type of cruise on a bike.To me it's loss of control and get too comfy.I like my hand where I can roll on or off in an instant. The Crampbuster is a good piece.

I have the same thing on my C50. This past weekend I put about 300 miles on and I used the vista cruise for maybe a couple miles total. Like blinky said, it's good to give your hand/wrist a rest for a few minutes but not for a long stretch.

I 3d printed my throttle lock from thingiverse.
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:111272

Scaled that to 110%, .2mm layers, 2 perimeters with 15% infill in black ABS. If you have a 3d printer, give it a try. Very cost effective print.

Mine is a large Ty-Wrap, found in the bottom of the electrical stuff box.  Works fine, you can shut the throttle instantly as the plastic just slips pass the brake lever.

I did forget to mention that the Kuryakyn can be slipped over the plug on the bar and it will hold better than the go cruise.

I have the vista cruise throttle lock, I really like it. When you install it, do what they said and take your time, you still want to be able to twist the throttle without flipping the lever.

I use mine most all the time out on the highway, I still keep my hand on the throttle, but it gives me a break, don't have to actually hold the throttle in position. I tried one of those cramp buster paddle things one time, I hated it, for what that's worth.

Everyone is different. Ain't that a good thing.

I use a Throttlemeister http://throttlemeister.com/ on the Guzzi and a crampbuster on the Ducati.  Both work well.  I don't use anything on the Savage as it is not a very good long distance bike anymore.
The Throttlemeister is really nice, you can set it to just barely hold the throttle and it is very easy to just turn the throttle as needed with it engaged.
