Clutch Problem?
06/15/14 at 14:52:41

Ok so I swapped out my handlebar this weekend.  A relatively easy project with no major hiccups.   Grin  I go to start it up to make sure that everything is in working order and every time I go to shift into 1st, the engine would die.   Sad  I fiddle with the clutch cable and it starts shifting into 1st without killing the engine.   Grin  I tighten up the set screw and put the sleeve back on and it starts to do the same thing again.   Sad I thought that it might be the cut out switch in the clutch lever because it wouldn't start in gear with the kickstand up, but now I can't get it to shift into any gear.  Please help.

Your clutch cut-out switch is flaky...
Try unplugging it, and plugging it back in... (maybe spray some cleaner in the contacts...

Won't go into any gear?... You've jiggled all the gears into perfect disalignment.. (that's not a real word?)...
Just roll the bike forward or backward a little bit...
Motorcycles aren't good at shifting when they aren't moving... not like a car...
Wink...
