Bike cutting out
06/14/14 at 15:06:22

I have a stock 2001 savage.I was riding home from work and the bike started shutting off. I would pop the clutch and it would run for a few more seconds. I turned the petcock to prime and that solved the issue. When I pulled off at a gas station the tank was about 1/4 full. Petcock issue maybe? Thanks.

Very likely,.. ..but, since you were at 1/4 tank full...
Try filling up and riding with the pet in the normal position...
Prime is equal to reserve, as far as from where it taps the fuel in the tank... so you have just just run down to needing the reserve fuel...

If it still acts hitchy,.. it's time to Raptorize...
