GPS speedo.....and tach

Just to let you know you have some options....you don't have to settle for inaccurate speedometers.....or the look of an electronic speedo.

Folks are now starting to make gauges that look like gauges - but are accurate.  They are not yet cheap however.

Shorty:

I posted this speedo for folks building bobbers and Cafe' bikes who want to do away with the stock speedo....and have something that reads accurately....and has a dial on it.  As time goes on I am sure the cost will come down on them.

If you get the bicycle speedo units...be sure to get the ones with wires.  Wireless doesn't work on the Savage as the electrical stuff interferes with the wireless signals.

I like it Dave, but it requires a 15 inch antenna it seems.....
I guess that is not a deal breaker, but?

I wonder if a small stash box could be fashioned out of the existing hole left by the speedo removal on the tank?

Would be silly to have two, eh?

The antenna cord is 15" long....the antenna appears to be about half the size of a cigarette pack.

Now concerning tachs, and I may have this wrong and could be thinking of speedos but, aren't there different "formulas" that certain tachs use? Like 1:1 1:2 and that God awful harley ratio of somethin like 64:5280.

Just thinking about this because it helps when looking at ordering them and knowing other stock bike pull off that should work. ie: old harley or shadows or the such.

There's no place to hook up a mechanical tach.

We use electronic tachs so ratio doesn't apply.
