Gang,
When you hook up the speedo and tach on the Ryca kits, can you still run the horn on the same circuit?

I don't know why not....or exactly what they tell you to do for wiring.

I would use the wire that normally ran the speedo light to run power to the instrument lights on the new speedo and tach.  Power to the tach could come from the running light circuit in the headlight.....or from the same wire that is providing electric to the instrument lights.

I would avoid taking power from the horn circuit or anything tied in with the turn signals or flasher circuit - those power pulses can make the tach do weird things.

That's how I wired mine.  I used the grey wire that supplies power to the stock speedo light to connect to the Ryca red from the speedo and red wire and blue wire from the tachometer.
I than used the horn wires to power the stock horn, ya gotta have a horn in Michigan.

Our stock horn doesn't do much for getting the attention of any cars about to pull out in front of you - but it does work for a friendly beep to the neighbors on their porch as I ride by and wave! Grin

You're welcome!
where you at in the Chicago burbs?  I have a brother that lives in Hanover  Park and  a sister that lives in Hoffman Estates.  And my Aunt and Uncle used to live in Bartlett.

Shamless plug coming, did you see my add in the Marketplace forum for a dash assembly using the Ryca clocks and the stock turn signal, etc. light cluster?  Check it out if you have not seen it.

Down towards Joliet by the 355/ I-80 interchange. Would rather be living on the west coast of Michigan!

So Jake and Elwood must be your neighbors.
Yes, the other west coast, lived here all my life.  Summers are nice, winters are getting out of hand though.  Lot's of nice riding along the lake shore, that's for sure.

That was filmed about 15 minutes form me.
We love Michigan. We honeymooned up the coast: Saugatuck, Warren Dunes, Traverse City etc... Doing fun househunting over there.

When I got rid of the decomp relay, I used the leftover (20 amp fused) power supply to run a WOLO bad boy air horn mounted on one of the old battery box bolt holes. Then extended the wire from the horn switch to the relay provided with the horn. I love it, I blasted some moron with it just today. That wire that powered the decomp relay is hot all the time so the horn works with the ign. off. Don't tell the neighborhood kids.
