06/04/14 at 03:56:02

Hi

Greetings from Denmark

Bought this Savage last year. Its a 1988 german model.
It has some leak coming out on the left side (standside) of cylinder or head fins.
Can You detect what is causing this
I think our case seems a bit lower than this(see first post)

The leak could be the head plug - or it could be the nut directly under the exhaust header.

Check the nut first, as that is the easiest problem to fix.  Make sure the nut is pretty snug - but don't overtighten it.  If you take it off and clean it, then apply some sealer, that is the sure way to keep it from leaking.

If that is not the leak....then it is most likely the head plug.

To avoid getting lost in translation. The head plug is the issue from the link?
looks like the nut is the culprit(Picture)

thanks

The issue is that nut under the head. Remove it, clean the area and the nut real good, get some removable loctite or other thread locker, put it on the stud liberally and tighten the nut again. Wipe off excess and let it cure for a while.
Leak problem solved.
