Still running stock tyres? I was running a stock rear for a while and that was very good at sliding. Sliding has gone now I have swapped it for a decent one.

I got new Dunlop D404 tires 2-years ago and the tread is still good on them.

I don't think a fork brace would do much for that...
Only thing I can think of is grippier tires...

PS.. here in dustown... you can get a build-up of fine dust on roads that is invisible, but slick...
I spun out the Sporty taking off on a patch a couple of months ago...
Looked real cool,. but I stained my shorts a little... Grin...

Thanks for the visual image of you staining your shorts!   Tongue

Limits of adhesion... Cool!... Wink...

Usually,.. when I feel like I'm slidin'... it's means I'm crashin"... Undecided...

Wet clay? Holy cow, man, I "stuck" a pickup on wet clay. No, the tires didnt sink in, it had just rained & it was an oil field road in West Texas. The boss TOLD us if anyone gets in there & gets stuck, dont call him,,BUT,, I needed to go across it & it looked okay,, what I didnt know was it was slicker than anything on Earth but ice,,I was able to push it out by opening the door & putting it in gear & reaching in & gassin it while I leaned on the door. Clay & water & Leaves, too? Its either go straight or go straight down Id guess..
