press 95 torque limiter other options?

Ok this lack of a torque limiter in the pre 95s has peaked my intrest. I have seen two options listed within this forum...a torque limiter or an electronic fix...
But how about those of us with a manual decompression lever? Would there be any repercussions to using that at shut down? Sure beats cracking open a bike that's running fine....granted you need to remember to use it and it will tick a little at ya but....

The electronic fix activates the decomp, so if you do it manually it's the same thing.
