Are there any listed for the Savage that would be very beneficial? would this really work?

Well, it tells you if the bearings are interchangeable, but nothing else.

is the spindle length the same?
are the forks the same length?
are you going to use the savage front wheel?
is the axle the same diameter?
front brakes, speedo, etc.

Not because its cool I was hoping to find something else that would perform better in a very pothole ridden area.

I guess none of this would work.

Yes Savage front wheel

If you are keeping the stock front wheel, you're pretty much stuck with the stock fork set and a Progressive Suspension or similar gut swap. The front axle is a bit small... 16mm, most modern street bikes have a 17mm or 19mm axle, and you can't safely shim the difference. Finding conversion sealed wheel bearing sets in order to keep a substandard wheel is money/time poorly spent.

Just do a wheel to triple trees VS800 front end swap. Nets you an 80/90-21 tire/rim assembly, better rotor, better caliper, wheel driven triple tree mounted speedometer (with trip meter), lightweight alloy hoop versus ugly/heavy chromed steel...

I don't want to discourage you, just make you aware that site only sells bearings, not fork swap kits.

Stem bearings interchangeable... that's step1
You want to keep the savage wheel... step2
3.check to see if the donor bike has the same axle size.
4.check the disc thickness and diameter.
5.check the fork length.
6.check steering geometry.
7.check turn stops for tank clearance.
8.can you mount the savage handlebars and other gear.
9.and stem length.

pick the right bike and maybe these aren't issues.
but there are no tables that have all the data waiting for you.
I did pick up one from ozzie choppers that has axle, fork and wheel sizes.

Here's a list of bikes and steering stems:
http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=20951.0

eg.
kawasaki KZ400 Stem bearing sizes
Upper: 30 x 48 x 14
Lower: 30 x 48 x 14

First number is the stem size/I.D. of bearing, middle number is the O.D. of bearing and the the last number is just the taper angle and doesn't matter as long as you keep the races matched. Races are the cups that sit in the steering stem at each end and run up against the bearings on your stem and they come with your set of new bearings. I only know this cause I asked some dumb questions on chop cult and people were kind enough to help. Search "steering stem bearing replacement" on youtube and you'll get an idea of how it fits together.

My xs650 had munched up steering bearings and I thought about swapping to another front end but I'm really crappity smacking glad I didn't. Just changing the steering stem bearings was enough of a hassle. But I admire anyone who does swap front ends as it's real chopping. And real potential headaches. Love some of the bikes that people end up with though.
Oh and I'm not suggesting you use a KZ400 as your donor  Grin
