Where to buy OEM parts if you are Canadian
05/14/14 at 10:41:50

Hi just wondering if there are any fellow Canucks on here that know of a decent place to order OEM parts online from that is actually in Canada or know of a good US place that doesn't charge an arm and a leg to ship internationally.  Shocked

OEM = Original equipment manufacturer so yep suzuki parts.

The thing is if i need a single part the prices are fine in the US but as soon as you check out and put that your from Canada poof $30 bucks for shipping which is usually 2x the price of the item i need. I know that they need to collect duty etc but still a tiny little  $25 dollar part shouldn't cost 30 bucks to ship to Canada. I have only found a few places in canada that have decent prices but they dont have the OEM parts that i need listed just common parts so if anyone knows of a place online that's Canadian and has an actual parts look up etc that would be great.

$10 annually, Mail Boxes International, slip over the border to Blaine Wa. , 3-4 times a year, bring all my stuff back, declare EVERYTHING, no problem! Time it with a vacation to US, pick it up on the way back, easypeasy! Cheesy
Buffalo/Niagara Falls works too!

What is wrong with going to the dealer? By the time you pay shipping,  HST, gas, and travel time, you might as well go to the dealer. They can get it to you faster as well. Also there is a brokerage fee snuck into the shipping cost (or blatantly out in the open with UPS).

The nearest suzuki dealer from me is about 2 hours drive away and they never have anything you need in stock. I called them and they could have the part (carb float) in about 1.5 months would like to get the bike running b4 the summer is over  Grin

I don't know what it is like to order stuff and get it sent north of the border.  Here is where I get my stuff from.

Thanks I am checking them out and if the price for shipping to Canada isn't too much i might order since they have decent prices .It doesn't seem like they have oil and air filters? Do they usually have most items in stock?

EDIT well I went to the partsfish.com check out which has the best pricing of the ones I checked out but the shipping was $34.60 for $58.00 worth of small parts that wouldn't weigh over 1 lb  so that site is no good for Canadians unless you plan to buy in bulk. Id say out of all that I checked out bikebandit was the easiest to find parts but $29.00 shipping to Canada.  ronayers.com is hard to navigate , find parts , slow browsing but has $20 shipping and prices are a decent amount cheaper than bikebandit but Canadians Have to call in their orders. I cant even find a decent Canadian Parts Place online that has OEM parts Lol..
