As far as the exhaust, header and bracket goes... all savages are alike.

If you want to spend the money, Raask makes a drag pipe with baffles for the S40.
http://www.raask.se/
I bought mine directly from Raask. It has a larger diameter header.
It is quite a lot louder than stock (85 db at idle 3 ft back and 3 ft up, which is the way the local cops measure it). The Harley owners I sometime ride with describe it as "really effen sharp" when I pass them on the highway. Grin
I didn't notice any "drag pipe sag", possibly due to the baffling, or to the fact that I run a dial-a-jet system on mine. I use a 55 pilot and a 150 main jet and a K&N filter, and a 2/3 spacer mod. I occasionally have a crackle when I downshift and never have a shut off pop.

I changed to a Harley Dyna and it's not obnoxiously loud but definitely has a growl/better sound than the stock. With the carb mods, new petcock and new air filter it runs a lot better too.

I did the Dyna conversion on my 2013 and it came out perfect. Hit eBay with the model number  pgambr supplied and you should be able to find some quaility mufflers and a good price
