I have a suzuki savage 650. When I start it I have to hold the throttle all the way down. And when it's started I have to keep the throttle down or it kills on me. So I can't stop at red lights without keeping the throttle down. I noticed some gas leaking from my filter box and I opened it to see it was full of gas. I vacuumed out the gas and wiped it dry then put the filter back on. Tried to start it again and it still wouldn't start. But the gas isn't leaking anymore either so now I don't even know where to start. I am looking for a way to handle the situation myself, so if possible please tell me what to do.

REal good chance theres gas in it,., Get that done, let us know, then we will look at the carb. One things sure,, somethin is WAY amiss.. Ohh, year model, miles, any mods done, anything else you can think of to help,

Can't sit i Reply #3 - 05/06/14 at 15:34:47 Check your vac tube for gas, any in there and you have a bad petcock. and do the petcock check in the tech section. Check the air filter, if it got wet, even with gas, it will act like the choke is on.
