Oil leaking from valve covers
05/05/14 at 14:44:11

Hi, kind of new to the forum and the bike. Love it though! I'm leaking some oil from valve covers and I have replaced rubber gaskets. Torqued to spec still leaked so I tried some rtv along with the gaskets and still leaks some. Less but seems to be getting more. Could I have to much oil causing to much pressure? Or could it most likely be coming from somewhere else? I do not have the side covers on any help would be great ! I'm in the Houston area thanks guys!

There are a number of bolts that get sealing washers, they can be leaking.

I took mine off and wrapped the gaskets with plumber tape and they haven't leaked ever since and mine were bad.
