FUN NEW toys!!! Sena SMH10R Bluetooth headset

So the dual pack headset came in from Revzilla. So far I like both Revzilla and the headset.

This is a "slim" version of the older model SMH10. They made it slimmer by going from a knob to buttons only and by moving the battery to a separate location in the rear.

So far other than having soooooo many features that its a little complicated.. I have to say I am impressed. I bought the dual pack, which gives you two over everything including two cig chargers ( but no wall chargers). The charging is done via standard USB mini plug (theirs is turned at 90 degrees to work with the rubber cover better).

I guess most bluetooth units do all that this does... but it is a neat toy to me:
headset to headset chat for up to 4 headsets via BT at up to 900 feet
phone to headset also VOX
phone music to headset
GPS to headset
mp3 player to headset
Sena BT device to connect an non-BT radio to the headset

it included 4 mics, rwo of each style, with the slim msall style suitable for full helmets and the old gooseneck for us 3/4 and halfs.

anyway 4 out of 4 stars from me.

PS...I just had one of those Friday nights... and suddenly the word "apple",.. doesn't really look like a real word...
I had to Google it, just to be sure...

I took my first call at 70mph... it worked great. I keep the phone and wallet in the small handle bar case . I also tried listening to music via the phone. The speakers sound very "tinny" (no bass at all) but it works. I for one just am not that into listening to music while I ride. The purr of the bike is all I need.

My wife and I rode together and tried the BT headsets (main function). We used it as "always on" versus a push to talk or any other function. Doing that means the mics are open and you hear everything, though the spoken word does com through loud and clear over everything else.

Haha, the open mic always on is funny. Sounds like a convenient way to bond with your wife though. Now you can point out all the cool sights and stuff.
