A 24-year-old motorcyclist was arrested on a Long Island parkway after he blew past a police officer at 110 mph, nearly three times the speed limit, police say.
The Suffolk officer was monitoring traffic on the William Floyd Parkway in Shirley when a motorcycle sped past him at more than 110 mph just before 5 p.m. Friday, according to police.
The speed limit on the parkway is 45 mph.
When the officer caught up with the motorcycle about a mile and a half away, he found it wasn't registered or insured, and did not have license plates, according to police.
The driver, Salvatore Crimi Jr., was also unlicensed to operate a motorycle and was not wearing a helmet.
Crimi, of Shirley, was arrested and charged with reckless driving and issued multiple summonses. He was being held overnight and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on April 26.
It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.

I have family on the island... with that last name, he's going to be pretty untouchable... "connected" families are everywhere on L.I., one of my ding biscuit cousins married into one.

Someone will help him and he will be in debt forever.  At some point in time a favor may be requested of him.
