I hit 20,000 miles this afternoon,  added another 30 before I made it home.

Hmm, forgot about the Hall of Fame.  But that's going to make things a little tougher to figure out.  The 20,000 are the miles on the bike. I put about 5,000 of them on there.  Not sure exactly how many I put on the 87, I'd guess at least 8,000 to 9,000. So that is at least 13,000 since I started riding in 08. I guess I am half way there.

Don't do anything special for me, I'll catch up at my own pace. I'm not trying to impress anyone. I finally got my tires on, that was the hold up for my riding. It has been cold in eastern NC this winter, but I just put on plenty of clothes and go. But my rear tire was about worn out and the front one had air visible in a couple of spots. (OK, I admit to wimping out and having the tires installed instead of doing it myself.) But I got them on and I am riding, that's all that matters, right? It is supposed to rain today, maybe I'll take a couple of pictures.

I bought my 06 a year ago and have logged just shy of 9000 miles. It's been great to get back in the saddle after over ten years.

I have a good idea for medal mileage. How about oh, I don't know--maybe 16,300. seems like a nice round number.  Grin  I've averaged 3250 miles/yr.   Good job, Mike. Sounds like you are approaching the "motorcycle as a second car" class. Be safe. Boofer

Yep, I got them on, whimped out though, I took the tires off and took them to a shop and had them put on the rim. The front tire was the wrong size, so I had to send it back and wait for another, that was disappointing. That guy made it look easy though, but he had real spoons and knew what he was doing.

Boofer, my other car is a 1994 F150 4x4. There is a lot of difference between say, 15 mpg and 50 mpg. And there is just the enjoyment of riding the bike, it seems I have been making a lot of trips to the hospital in the next town, about 70 miles round trip, it does not take long to rack up the miles that way. But overall, the bike does get more miles now than the truck.

Good work, keep it up. I've put a touch over 1500 miles on the 03 in the month I've owned it, mostly commuting. The direct route is 36 miles each way...

Reminds me, need to check and likely top off the oil again... these bikes don't like the freeway very much...

How is Skat's Kitty graphic holding up?

That's the place, Shorty. I live just a few miles from there, over in the Pinetown area, Washington address. If you are ever back in this neck of the woods give me a holler and we'll get a Bill's hot dog!

It's still there, if I washed the dirt, pollen, and road grime off, it'd probably look better. But I'm too busy for that kind of nonsense.

Pokey hasn't had a bath since the repaint about 3 years ago... covered in poplar sap, dessicated pollen, mildew, bird droppings, cat yark...

Sam is so covered in oil and road funk that I'm almost afraid it is all that is holding it together...

If it is nice enough out to wash the bike, I'm either riding or at the beach.
