We're pretty useless when it comes to replacement caps...
I'd like one without a key lock... (let me know if you find one)...

Anyway,.. long story?...   I'll find time...
How did you manage it?...
...(embellishment and exaggeration permitted)...
Tell me a story... Huh...

well i tore my bike down to nothin but the frame and engine.  everything has been grinded on, sanded, primed, painted (flat black, flat red accents,  matte clear coat all around) oil plug leaked fixed (i think, havent started up yet)  process of making fake oil tank for electronics, anyway.  all ready to start piecing back together.  including a nice little red gas cap sitting on a shelf.  or i should say being knocked to the ground by the big dummy that forgets its wrapped in that rag he just grabbed.  she hits the ground and i cringe as my soon to be heart wrenched wife pulls in the garage.

But of course.  I work construction and things roll under stuff that can't be moved, paint can handles break over carpet, things fall and hit the most expensive knick knack in the house...
What do you do if you are in a plane going down and you have no parachute?  Just grab the end of an extension cord and toss it out, it'll get caught on SOMETHING on the way down.   Grin

I usually carry about a 10 foot piece of water hose on with me,, that or jumper cables, Cant drag those things 10 feet w/o hangin up on somethin..
The gas cap just isnt an easy fix..I dont think anyone has even found a direct swap. Its That Cap, or ride a potential Molotov Cocktail.
