idle rpm question (Read 88 times)

Kirill Timofeev Ex Member	idle rpm question 03/09/14 at 10:36:20 From what I read here looks like low idle rpms are bad since engine doesn't have enough oil. What is downside of having high idle rpm above 1100?

Aside from burning more gas at a stop light youll see that trying to walk it thru a parking lot will mean using the clutch a lot more than is fun.
My cold engine idle speed wasnt good enough, even once it was time to ditch the choke. I had to raise the idle & as it warmed up I could drop it back down. Usually took about 15 minutes to get it all the way up & stable.
