So, quick question, i couldnt find anything on this, was riding the bike home from work, and noticed it was acting a little weird. rode it some more, and this is what i came up with.

With parked, if i open the throttle wide open and snap it closed, the bike will drop down under it normal idle speed, and if i dont give it a little on the throttle it'll chug lower, and die. If i give it a little on the throttle, then it bounces back to the normal idle speed.

Have'nt had it die while im riding, i do know notice though, if i hit a yellow light and break, close the throttle, and then pull in the clutch, it starts to drop idle low. just a blip on the throttle, and it's fine. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for the help.

2001 Suzuki Savage, 5700 miles, chain drive conversion, jardine pipe, k&n 5" pod filter,  Carb has been rebuilt and jetted by a shop, but it was when the PO had it so i don't know jet sizes.

I'll try bringing it up, we've had some really cold mornings, and 70's by noon. She sure doesn't like the cold.

Just about any engine is going to have a slight dip coming off throttle before it settles in... if this is enough to let the engine die,.. you probably have the idle too low...

When you chop the throttle, you go rich for just a second...
You can try leaning the idle mix,.. but it's most likely too low an idle speed...
