If you think about it, cell phones with camera's have been around for ever and the taking a picture or video has already been abused, look at texting.
I think glass will have a better use other than just a web browser, picture taking device.
You can surf the web and look up things simply by using your voice.
Of course it opens up a new Misuse capability and those that do abuse it will have to pay the penalty..
But i'm talking about say I wanna change my timing chain, I can slap on the glass, call up you tube and follow along while watching the video.
Say your auto guy is working on your car and needs a part, with the proper apps, he could call the parts desk while still taking the part off and use his glass to open the schematic to get the part number, get you car out faster, all while still turning wrenches on your car.... now I realize its stretching it a bit, but I see apps going that way.
Guess I should start learning to write apps, maybe I can make a few bucks while playing around with it.
Also, when using glass as a gps, it doesn't stay on all the time, it comes on for about ten to fifteen seconds reminding you where to turn next, then it shuts back off. So it is actually less distracting than a regular cell phone or gps system that's on all the time.
Plus it can be set up for hands free calling and texting, just like your smart phone, but you don't have to look down or hold the phone in front of you, your hands are free.
Which I think is why they should not make it illegal to use as a gps... since it is actually less distracting.... its the folks that have never used one that think they are dangerous.
Its going to be a learning curve with all these new wearable techs coming out, heh, I've got a new stereo Bluetooth headset now too, and it works along side the google glass as it lets me use the phone with the headset and not the glass's measly ear bud...of course that's the smart phone being able to use two or more Bluetooth devices at once.
I'm liking it so far, and am hopefully going to be able to get the improved version if I turn in this one, or at least get a discount on newer versions.
