The Savage one isn't model specific. Take the big white boat across the funny tasting puddle, hit up "roached out pieces of monkey s**t", er, Bent Bike, $35 for a new universal type versus $90 or better from the stealership.

FYI, they almost never fail on these bikes. But the decompression solenoid relay... 3 years and counting on that particular work around... got so bored I redesigned the whole bike.

Contacts get dirty... switch or relay... Just take apart and clean them... Relay's are often sealed, but can be taken apart with some fiddling... inside looks a lot like old fashioned ignition, contact points.... can't usually get a pencil eraser in those... use a piece of emery cloth and a little wd-40 or rubbing alcohol...
