Ctrl, Alt, Nadella: Microsoft’s CEO's reboot

Worth reading, this article covers Nadella's first week at Microsoft.
And yes, they have completely thrown the Ballmer out with the bathwater
.... and gonna thrown his half arsed phone OS with him unless it can be fixed completely ASAP (like NOW, dammint).
Gates is flying close air support for Nadella, so I suspect Nadella's butt kicking take no prisoners style is what the board really wants to have happen right now.
Get serious with Windows Phone or spike it
....... it’s not impossible to imagine a world where Microsoft looks at adopting Android in some form, whether it’s enabling popular Android apps to run across its own tablets and phones, placing its own software on Android in a big way, or
creating its own "fork" of Android like Amazon does
.
It’s very clear that Android is becoming the mobile equivalent of Windows right now, and Nadella appears to understand the challenges and realities that Microsoft faces. It’s either invest heavily in Windows Phone, or spike it to get traction elsewhere on mobile.

Look at the picture up above ....
Look at the people to the lower left and pick up on their expressions and body posture.
Now scan the crowd looking for similar expressions and posture.
Microsoft as a "corporate culture" DOES NOT WANT TO CHANGE -- THEY DO NOT THINK THEY NEED TO CHANGE.
This does not bode good for their MS future if they are this resistant and inflexible while their new chief is telling them what they need to do.
