new performance exhaust pipe
02/01/14 at 10:23:31

I saw that cleveland cycle works site that sells those chinese 250 single bike new for about 3k. Anyway they sell custom header pipes for $99. Some one should be able to come up with something good thats more affordable.
I still would like to make my bike british ,scrambler look, have foot pegs centrally mounted. And most important, see a RYCA bike with sporster or preferable stock suzuki tank.
The tank RYCA puts on the bobber comes in 2 sizes, and I keep calling it sportster but they don't.
Someone here made a battery/electric. relocating box...do they offer them for sale to us??

I went for a bit of an English Scrambler look... on a budget...
(High pipe and midsets were out of the budget)...
Harley shorty muff, 12" Intruder shocks, lifted seat and tank, smaller rear fender with mudflps and tank knee pads... , and bike pedals for footpegs...
Do the little things you can do,.. and wait for the big things...
Wink...

Serowbot, that bike looks just flat out awesome! Very nice work. Cool

Pegs are easier then most people think. All you need is a set of pegs with the right male mount, and then bore out the hole to fit our screw on the savage. Then, for angle adjust, there's a screw in the end of the peg that you can loosen....rotate the peg to desired angle, and tighten again. Many types of Kuryakyn pegs will work if bored out and shimmed with a washer.
Theres a guy on Ebay that sells these pegs and he bores out the hole for you and includes the shims. Just search for Suzuki Savage/ S40 pegs.

Pic is for reference only, but shows the adapter and screw.

Somebody dug up a 5 month old post... Grin...

Tank pads are just rubber running mat cut to shape and rubber cemented on. Also did a stripe down the center of the tank and rear fender with it.
Ace Hardware sells it 3' wide by the ft.  $3 or $4 .
Mudflaps are the same stuff but thicker, and cost a couple dollars more per ft.
Shocks are off an Intruder 800.  2" taller, mine are very soft, but have great travel. very smooth ride.

Vintage MX'rs here use that running mat for all kinds of stuff... It's very handy to have some around.
Cool...
