Every year the in-laws have been gathering at grandpa's house for the day before Christmas to exchange cheer and gifts. It has been going on for as long as I've been with the wife (30+yrs).
I've watched nieces and nephews go from bumps in the tummy to married and moved away, and their parents turn gray.
We went from exchanging gifts for everyone to just gifting the kids under 15, we went from what does little joey want to just cash or gift cards. Well since we have moved back and forth we lost touch with what the kids want, so it soooo much easier to give cash.... is that a bad thing?
Anyway, I hope you all have a great Christmas eve day with family and/or friends, I am off to the in-laws (wife has to work) to laugh at the parents of ill behaved children and sayin' to grandpa " I told you she would be a handful" you shoulda raised that one with a heavy hand....LOL
