I was kinda thinkin maybe folks here would look at the construction of the support stuff, how everything got mounted, the rail the tank sits on swings away for access to the motor, inset channels for the tank to sit down in, that took a long time to design & build to make it all work out, get it high enough to not drag the tank when moving the generator, low enough to mount the vapor regulator, still have access to the pull cord, quite a few things to hammer out, really. And then draggin up enough junk to build it, I had all of it on hand, just deciding which piece of junk to use where,, That kinda project doesnt come with drawings & instructions, you gotta eyeball stuff & think it thru, then start in & HOPE ya didnt fail to see a little further in,,& step in a bear trap..
In spite of my lack of welding skills I think that came out pretty stylin'..
& the plugs on the chains? Well,, we have dirt dobbers, so, a hole like that would get packed with mud & a critter would get born in it, not a good plan, so, I affixed the plugs to a nail & put a washer with a wire loop on & crushed & soldered a nut on the nail. The little chain was from some kinda dog collar or leash,, Ive had that thing layin around for years,, Details like that EAT time UP.. but, I dont wanna lose the plugs,, so,, there ya go

pretty cool, was that a gasoline unit to begin with? it can just run on propane? Also, how long will 1 tank run it? Thanks.

Thanks Zar. I had a problem with the top of the tank letting go when I rolled it outta the shop. The bottom of the tank hit when it came out & jacked it up & it came loose & fell out. I "adjusted" the wire hook & screwed a wire nut on the end of the hook. I re-ran it down the slop & made it clip the cement when it came out & the bottle jostled, but stayed in, so, Im happy enough.
What you cant see, with respect to my welding, is,, I ground out the Big Uglies & went back with the brazing tip & filled in to make it look better, of course, even that needed some grinding,, If I had a quality mig, Id be okay. I did body work for 3 years & a mig is part of lots of those jobs,
My welder is a Harbor Freight unit, so, theres a clue as to its quality,
