My project started last month.
I painted the ceilings in the kitchen
and living room.
Then I had the walls to do in the living room
as had done the kitchen a couple years ago and
it still looks good.
Ok so then couple weeks ago, the man came and measured
the floor for the laminate and underlayment.
I had taken measurements in yet they want to do their own
if their doing the install. So I paid for that and that $40.00 went
towards the purchase of the materials.
So going forward, the walls are painted.
Then I had been thinking of staining the doors and trim that were
all white to a darker color.
So sanded and started staining. Of course I couldn't do them all in
the same day as the stain is smelly and need to keep the room vented to
allow the fumes to dissipate.
I love the outcome of this. The doors and trim now have taken on a beautiful woodsy look..This is going to look good with the wood floor.
I have the trim in the entry way as well as the entry way itself and front door left to do.
Also I have to go back now and retouch a little as the brush jumped up and hit the ceilings when I was painting the walls.
I just don't have a clue as to how that happened..
Yesterday we picked up the flooring and the rest of the materials and their snuggling in the spare room.
It has to sit and acclimate to the temps we run in the house for at least 3 days.
I will call the installers this a.m. to see when they can put us on their schedule for the completion.
The best thing too is their removing and disposing of the carpet and pad, as well as moving the furniture in and out.
Oh yeah I paid for that yet it will be easier in the long run.
Will it be done before Christmas? I don't care as didn't plan to be anyways.
Were not having any family or friends for dinner this year so will be quite.
I have Christmas Eve off and will have to go in that evening. So some quite will be nice..
I am planning to do the touchup tomorrow as today am going shopping..
No tree as everything is kind of displaced with this project. Oh I do have a small fibro optic tree I can place on top of the kitchen queen. Might get that done today..
Oh yeah and have been working full time and so thankful for my job.
So if you don't hear from me for awhile, this is what I have been up to.
My project is slowly coming to an end and yet seems their is still much to be done. So I best get busy.. Hugs everyone. Happy Holidays too..
