I have to re-route my dryer vent anyway, it actually runs down into the slab and outside, so it sits in a hole in the ground, go figure....bad engineering.

I'm going to run it straight out at floor level or possibly 4" up on the edge that we have to have because of the water heater (in case of leakage it won't go into the house), put a "T" in it so I redirect the air into the garage when needed. I might have to double wall it because of the heat the dryer puts out on its high setting, even tho the PVC pipe it uses now is fairly thick and inside the wall, so maybe its not to code now as it is (was built into the house so I guess it was at the time).

The dryer is electric by the way Smiley

What are you going to do with all the extra moisture that comes out with the warm dryer air ?  It can get pretty rusty around there.
