strange ticking....

so there I was,sitting at a set of lights on my way to work when I heard a strange ticking noise,look around,nup,no dirty diesels sitting near me,so it has to be coming from me Angry

get to work and have a listen,and it seems to be coming from the front of the motor.I'm kinda thinking here that it is valves,or could it be exhaust/manifold leak or gasket on the way out? Paid attention to it on the way home and it keeps a good time with the motor.It's an '86 with 43876 K's on the clock any pointers greatly appreciated,not looking forward to dragging the ZZR Kwaka out Sad
