Yes, its pre oiled,, BUT, they need cleaned,, & the cleaner ( For sale, from K&N) wipes that oil out.. BUT,, thats Oookay!! Theyll also sell ya a spray can of K&N oil. I had a drop in K&N. I was reasonably satisfied,, but, looking back, I woulda been ahead to just stay with the paper filters & blow the out a few times. I DID keep the old paper filter so I could slap it in & ride while the K&N was drying after a cleaning,,
