I like the W800...why can't we get things like that?

The CB1100 sits nice.  It's tiny though.  Feels smaller than the Savage but heavier and wider.

We could, but they are too well built for our disposable society.

Grin

You can get them stateside, it's just a pain in the butt. Gray market, you pay cash for it while on vacation, ride it around, crate it up and bring it home. Fairly common. We have a Kubota tractor that was brought in from Canada, the model is sold there, but doesn't meet OSHA specs in the USA. Great little tractor that you can't get a roll bar for.

Droooooooool!! That W800 is delicious!!!! Cool

There was a used one for sale here a few months ago.. at the dealership ( trade in) for $3800. I was still dealing with leaky roofs and such.. but I was very much drooling over it. Someone here had to tell me what it was.

Seeing as you are in Mississippi, I suspect that the trade-in you saw at the dealership was a W650, which Kawi sold in North America for only a couple of years back in 2000/01 ... very much sought after Bike now-a-days! There are only 2 that I know of here in S.J. Nfld. ... both brought in from elsewhere in Canada in recent years from what I understand ... beautiful Bikes!

Seeing as MS is home to a Navy base, a Naval shipyard, a Naval training facility, an Air Force Base, a HUGE Army/National Guard base, and a NASA/NOAA jointly operated port/shipyard/testing facility... the odds of finding a gray market W800 are actually pretty good.
