New Ryca project
11/01/13 at 15:39:13

Spent close to a half year searching for just the right project to kick off retirement. When I saw a Ryca ad show up on facebook & watching the Jay Leno video I had to try it.
Got my 2008 S40 torn down and my conversion shipment from CA will be here next week.
Can not tell you how happy I am to find this forum.

Well.......The RYCA project should keep you busy over the winter......if you have a winter where you live?

While you are waiting look for the Double RYCA thread, Braveteachers Thread.....my build thread is ThumpinSpecial.  There are a few others that should be looked at as well, but the names aren't comin' to my head at the moment.

They are fun bikes to build.....and even more fun to ride!

Thanks for the support. I finally have a garage and workbench cleared out and ready for something new. Bring it on!

Good luck with the build! Which build are you going to do? I just did a tear down on my 1996 donor bike. I'm building the Bobber RR-1. It should be an exciting build indeed.

Love the Ryca bobber! Mine will be the CS-1 cafe racer. In fact, depending on how this build turns out I may build another style. Love the fact that you can have 2 amazing bikes for the price of one Harley or BMW. Cool

Here's a large compilation of hundreds of ways to screw up a RYCA build, and a few suggestions on how to handle some inherent issues.

One thing is certain from the get go. I will need absolutely no help screwing up my build. Been spending a lot of time researching and collecting the proper tools. If I can complete it with out maiming myself or burning my garage down I'll be happy!  Grin
